TideTrade as a Bullmania alternative
If you are searching for an alternative to Bullmania, here is what TideTrade is, what it is not, and how the two differ on the things that matter when you choose a crypto scanner. TideTrade is not a review site and has no connection with Bullmania; the Bullmania column repeats what its own public pages said when we read them on 19 October 2026, nothing more.
In one paragraph. TideTrade applies one published rule, the Supertrend indicator with period 10 and multiplier 3, to 140 crypto assets on completed daily and weekly candles, and shows each asset as tide in, slack water or tide out. Every flip goes on a ledger nobody can edit, a hash of that ledger is published daily, and the rule changes only in public with a version number. There is no guru, no course and no call: the rules of conduct fit on one page, and the evidence is a pre-registered study with its weaknesses shown. Bullmania, according to its website, is a software company with education built around its tools: an indicator, a scanner, courses, coaching and a private community.
| TideTrade | Bullmania, per its website | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | One published trend rule, Supertrend(10, 3), shown on every asset the same way, with the record of every flip in public. | Trading software with education built around it: the Money Line indicator, the Money Scanner, courses, coaching calls, live streams and a private community, according to its website. |
| The signal | Published, versioned and hashed. Anyone can recompute it from the public export. | Proprietary. We have not reviewed its methodology and do not describe it here. |
| Markets | 140 crypto assets on daily and weekly candles (a Core tier of 30 liquid names and an Extended tier). Indices and commodities are in alpha and not for decisions. | Crypto is the market named on its homepage; timeframes are not stated there. |
| When it reads | Completed candles only. Daily states at the close, alerts the night of the flip, never on a forming candle. | Not stated on its homepage. |
| The record | Every flip on a public ledger, labelled replayed, live, late or corrected, with a daily SHA-256 hash posted to the community group. | No public signal ledger found on its website. |
| The evidence | A pre-registered study on a point-in-time basket of the 20 most-traded crypto assets, 2019 to 2026, every benchmark and weakness shown. Its finding: in past data the rule had smaller falls; its return was similar overall and lower in recent years. | Its website says the results and testimonials it shares are exceptional, not typical, and that it guarantees nothing. |
| How to act | The Tide Rules: five sentences and how to run them, free, on one page. | Courses, coaching and a framework, per its website; the Inner Circle asks for a portfolio of at least $100k to apply. |
| Price | Free: your holdings against their lines and a Sunday digest. Pro: $25 a month or $250 a year, for alerts the night a flip happens, API keys and more. | On its pricing page; not quoted here because it can change. |

What TideTrade does
- One rule, applied the same way to everything. The line is Supertrend(10, 3); above it by more than half an ATR the tide is in, below it the tide is out, within half an ATR is slack water. The scanner shows all 140 assets at once with search, tide and tier filters.
- Completed candles only. About half of the flips seen on a forming candle reverse before it ends, so states and alerts are read after the close. The next day is fine: the study measured acting a day late at about one point of return and three of drawdown over seven years.
- Every signal public. The ledger records every flip with days held and the result to the next flip; late and corrected rows are marked, never hidden, and a daily hash lets anyone check nothing was edited.
- Evidence before claims. The study was pre-registered, its wording fixed before the numbers existed. 58% of its round trips lost money; the drawdown edge is the finding, not a return promise.
- How to act, on one page. The Tide Rules: hold only what is above its line, act on flips the next day, do nothing new in slack water, equal weight across what is in up to ten positions, never borrow.
- Your holdings against their lines. Paste a public wallet address on the wallet check, read-only, no connection, and see which of your coins are below their line.
What TideTrade does not do
It does not forecast, does not give price targets, does not short, does not use leverage and does not tell you what to buy. There is no course to buy, no coaching call and no community you must apply to; the Telegram group exists for the daily ledger hash and the people following the same rules. If you want a trading education with a mentor and a framework taught over time, that is not what TideTrade sells, and Bullmania's website says it is what Bullmania sells.
How to judge any crypto scanner
- Can you see the rule? A signal you cannot inspect is an opinion with a chart. Ask for the formula, the parameters and when it reads.
- Is the record public and append-only? Past signals that can be edited are not a record. Look for every flip, including the losing ones, and a way to verify nothing changed.
- Was the evidence pre-registered? Backtests written after the results are known can say anything. Look for the wording that was fixed before the numbers, and for the weaknesses shown next to the strengths.
- Does it read completed candles? Alerts on a forming candle look fast and reverse often.
- What does it cost in total? Subscriptions, courses, required third-party tools and minimum portfolio sizes all count.
- Does it promise returns? No rule can. In sideways markets a trend rule flips often and loses a little each time; that is the price of being out before the large falls.
Questions people ask
- Is TideTrade an alternative to Bullmania?
- Yes, for the scanner part. TideTrade shows one published trend rule, Supertrend(10, 3), on 140 crypto assets on completed candles and keeps every flip on a public ledger. Bullmania, according to its website, pairs its indicator and scanner with courses, coaching and a private community; TideTrade sells none of those.
- What is the main difference between TideTrade and Bullmania?
- TideTrade's rule is published, versioned and hashed, its record is public and append-only, and its evidence is a pre-registered study with the weaknesses shown. Bullmania's tools are proprietary and its website describes education built around them. Which suits you depends on whether you want a transparent rule to run yourself or a programme to learn.
- Is TideTrade free?
- The free plan shows your holdings against their lines and sends a Sunday digest. Pro is $25 a month or $250 a year and adds alerts the night a flip happens by email and Telegram, alerts for the whole universe, unlimited saved wallets and API keys.
- Does TideTrade give buy and sell signals?
- It shows the state of a published rule: tide in, slack water or tide out, read on completed candles. The Tide Rules say how to behave around it: hold only what is above its line and act on flips the next day. That is decision support, not personal advice, and never a forecast.
- How is TideTrade different from an indicator on a charting platform?
- The indicator is the same Supertrend anyone can add to a chart. What TideTrade adds is the discipline around it: one rule applied the same way to 140 assets, completed candles only, a public ledger of every flip with a daily hash, corrections disclosed rather than edited, and a pre-registered study of what the rule did.
- Can either tool guarantee profits?
- No. In the study 58% of round trips lost money and the longest run of losing trips was 17; the finding was smaller falls than holding, with a similar return overall and a lower one in recent years. Bullmania's own website says the results it shares are exceptional, not typical. Cryptoassets can lose most of their value.
TideTrade is decision support, not financial advice. Cryptoassets are high-risk; trend rules lose money in sideways markets and past states do not predict future prices. See the disclaimer.
